I work almost exclusively in golden acrylic paint. Sometimes working on a very flat watercolour paper or more recently using canvases. Living in an area of outstanding natural beauty my surroundings inform my work. I’m inspired by landscapes and woodlands. The seasons and changes in weather alter the colours and perspective giving a further fascination to my compositions. I draw on the spot for each painting. The drawings will be used and traced from a light box or from a tracer projector onto canvas. Photographs, colour notes are taken at the same time as the drawings are made for secondary reference.
