2026 is the 20th Anniversary of the Severn Vale Art Trail taking place on

30th APRIL to 4th MAY

The Severn Vale Art Trail is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and it promises to be the biggest and best yet, featuring more than 80 artists and makers across 36 venues.

Based in Thornbury, the trail stetches beyond the town itself—from Slimbridge in the north to Frampton Cotterell in the south; Wickwar in the east and Oldbury in the west, and many other villages in-between! It’s the perfect opportunity to step ‘off the beaten track’, explore unique locations and discover the work of talented local artists and makers.

This year welcomes a host of new artists and venues, offering an impressive range of artwork to view and buy.  From sculpture, painting and photography to ceramics, upholstery, jewellery and woodturning, and much more besides - there’s truly something for everyone.

New for this year:
  • Follow the art trail on your bike
  • See an exhibition of work by local Ukrainian artists (venue 32)
  • Castle School students are exhibiting at two venues (26 and 28)
And be sure to check opening times before setting off!
