Pargeting (relief wall sculpture)

Pargeting is a traditional form of relief decoration applied to the lime render of a building in raised or embossed patterns or scenes and characters to mark out an important building such as a pub.

The featured boards are lime plastered and then sculpted as they harden over several days and then limewashed.

After they have carbonated they are frost resistant and can be hung on sheltered external walls.
